As required by mortgage lenders, homeowners insurance (HOI) protects your home from weather and theft and covers your liability if someone is injured while on your property. Only sometimes will it also cover some or all of your home’s systems and appliances. If, like many homeowners, you look into your coverage and discover that these systems and appliances are exempt, a home warranty is a great way to fill that coverage gap.
There is a waiting period from when you purchase your home warranty plan to when you can request service. You'll be advised when your coverage begins before you purchase your plan. Your confirmation email and plan documents will also include this information.
First, review your coverage to ensure you have a claim, then request service by calling or reaching out to us online. A verified service provider will contact you to schedule an in-person appointment, during which your appliance or system will be diagnosed, and covered failures repaired and/or replaced, unless a part needs to be ordered or acquired first.
Other non-mechanical items in your home, like the roof, windows, walls and doors, are typically not included in protection plan coverage. Also, if a covered item was improperly installed or repaired, your plan will likely not cover it. It's important to read the details of the terms and conditions in the General Exclusions and Limitations section.
Every service provider referred by your Progressive Home Warranty plan from Cinch Home Services has undergone an extensive screening and selection process. Plans, offers, and prices shown may not be available in all states and vary by location, plan type, and any applicable sales tax. Handyman Reimbursement offer provides one-time reimbursement for up to $100 in eligible home services performed by a professional handyman at the address covered by your Progressive Home Warranty by Cinch plan. To be eligible for reimbursement, handyman services must be performed, paid for, and documentation submitted to Cinch prior to the expiration date that appears on the coverage summary for your first annual plan term. Eligible handyman services include non-warranty property repairs, installations, upgrades, painting, systems or appliance maintenance, exterior and yard maintenance, and cleaning services. Paid invoices submitted for less than $100 will be reimbursed the amount of the invoice. Paid invoices for more than $100 will receive reimbursement for the maximum $100. This offer is not to be used for repairs to items covered by your home warranty service agreement. For those repairs, please place a claim. Offer redemption instructions will be emailed to eligible plan holders after enrollment. Cannot be combined with any other offer.
