Frequently asked questions

How long does my coverage last?

Your Cinch Home Services coverage lasts for one year from the date of closing. Before your current plan expires, we'll contact you about how to continue to protect your home and budget for years to come

How much does repair service cost?

At the time of the service request, you will pay a $50 deductible.

Helpful reminders:

  • The deductible is per service trade. So, if you have more than one item that needs repair and they are in different service trades — for example, a plumber and an electrician — there will be a deductible due for each one.

     

  • Certain items have coverage caps. If your repair or replacement cost exceeds the cap, you will be responsible for the difference.

     

  •  There could also be additional charges if more work is needed to fix the issue. For instance, if a permit is needed or you need a new concrete slab for a replacement A/C unit, those costs are not covered by your plan. 
How do you choose your service providers?

Every service provider in our network has undergone an extensive screening and selection process, which includes background and license checks plus verification of active liability insurance. We also continuously monitor and score them based on customer feedback.

What is NOT covered?

Other non-mechanical items in your home, like the roof, windows, walls and doors, are typically not included in protection plan coverage. Also, if a covered item was improperly installed or repaired, your plan will likely not cover it. It's important to read the details included in the General Exclusions and Limitations section of the terms and conditions.

I am very happy with Cinch. Submitting a claim with Cinch was straightforward; they sent someone out quickly. The service was much faster compared to other home warranties I've previously used. Cinch takes care of the customer when there's a problem. The person they decide to use follows up and texts you every step. They have good customer service and always present themselves well. Whenever you have a question, they're always there to answer it. Recently, my water heater was leaking. It couldn't be fixed so it had to be replaced. If I know somebody's looking for a home warranty, I always tell them about Cinch Home Services. They're wonderful. You don't have to go out there and look for anyone to fix anything for you ‘cause they got your back.

My experience when submitting a claim was very seamless and effortless. The tech who came knew what the issue was with the heater immediately and he ordered the fan motor. They had it the next morning and he came and put it in the next morning. It was during the winter when I didn't have heat because of it and they were really fast and on the ball.
